  1. 9hrs left for the pedals and other stuff
  2. Btw way does the forum have a specific buy & sell tread?
  3. I'm selling some combat rudder pedals on eBay at the moment. Along with some gfx cards and camera gear Starting price of £15 for the pedals, auction finishes this Sunday evening. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/eviepokemon/m.html?item=133072186076&ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  4. Not sure how you would mount decent sim hardware like a HOTAS, or what would happen to the wires if this is capable of spinning 360 degs, maybe you can restrict its movement? Fun toy, not sure how much use it be for DCS but it's good that somebody is making it. Maybe something 2 or 3 times the size further down the line that you can sit in properly with mounts for seats and pedals etc. :joystick: I'm sure there are plenty of people here and on the various racing forums that would jump at something like that with a price tag of a couple of grand. Next level up again would be something fully enclosed with a proper seat and harness that could go inverted :pilotfly: :)
  5. Very much looking forward getting one of these. One of the few benefits of getting old, (read Jurassic), is that time flies by much quicker than it does for you youngsters ;)
  6. Decided to go with a Thrustmaster TWCS until VKB or Virpil come out with something better. It cost about the same as a new PCB for the Warthog but at least this guaranteed to work out of the box and for 12mths, unlike the PCB. I might get a new PCB one day if I'm feeling flush or just sell it for spares or repair and let somebody else take the gamble.
  7. I've only had the TrackIR pro clip and more recently the UTC Light. The UTC Light is a great product and I'd thoroughly recommend it. I'm sure the other versions including the pro are just as good, I just wanted to keep the weight down to a minimum.
  8. Quick update: I've had a response from Thrustmaster and they have said... Please be informed that a new PCB might solve the issue but it's not a guaranteed fix. If the problem persists after replacing the board, we cannot offer a refund (read below). We would like to inform you that a new WARTHOG Throttle main PCB costs 53.80 EUR (for regular postal service) / 65.80 EUR (specialized delivery company). Please be informed that if replacing the broken component doesn't solve the issue, we are not liable for other defects, the warranty term for any spare part is 3 months. So I'm not sure what to do now, what if the PCB they send me is DOA? How can a new part only have 3 months warranty? I think I'll just get a new unit at least that should come with at least 12 month warranty. 4 days to respond and nothing that instils great confidence. I may go with another brand altogether, any recommendations?
  9. Thanks for the suggestions all chaser199 first thing I did :) Gruman I'll keep that in mind. I'll try the new PCB first and if I have no luck I'll get a new set and sell the old working joystick on eBay to keep costs down. jcbak I did this today just before emailing Thrustmaster just on the off chance the cable had been yanked or something but it all looked ok Bwaze Yeah I saw that thread and and tried disabling XHCI hand off, then both XHCI and EHCI hand off together. No joy :( I've had my auto confirmation email from Thrustmaster hopefully I can get this sorted sooner rather than later.
  10. Ok 56 views at time of writing so I guess there's no quick fix but thanks for looking. Sent Thrustmaster an email I'll let you know how I get on.
  11. Hi all, Having some issues with my Thrustmaster Warthog. The joystick is working fine but my throttle unit isn't working or showing up in device manager. The lights are on but "nobody is home" I have used this with this current rig for a few years without issue, so I don't know if its a window update (Windows 10 pro), or whether something has broken in the unit. I've not flown DCS or Elite for a good 6mths due to home improvements and not having time but this is nearly finished and I wanted to get stuck into 2.5 Things I've tried so far I have made sure that is plugged into a USB 2.0 port though this never used to be an issue and the stick will still happily work in any port be it USB 2 or USB 3 I have tried the bootloader thingy and this works in so far that they show up in device manager but when I try to re-flash I get the following errors. Joystick Error (code: 0x0000000C) (though the joystick work fine) Throttle Error (code: 0x0000000D) And I have tried this procedure on another PC but the results were the same Maybe it's just old and needs replacing. It was one of the early ones serial 00538 which I bought in October 2010. Still thought I'd ask here before shelling out for a new one or asking thrustmaster. Cheers
  12. Mine arrived Monday but didn't get a chance to try it out until last night. I purchased the light version and I have to say it works perfectly. It tracks as well, if not better, than the pro clip and is far less fragile. It's also nice to have one less cable hanging from your headphones. Highly recommended Thanks Hav
  13. I'm due a new set of glasses so might try contacts this time around. Only thing that puts me off is that for anything more than 5ft away I don't need any eye correction. Long sighted due to old age. Hence why I think any item like these should have diopter adjustment built in. After all it is the old generation that has been waiting for VR. The older generation that is more likely to have to surplus cash to afford such an expensive item and the older generation that will, in most cases, be asked to buy these things for there kids. And it's the older generation that is most likely to need eye correction  And the older generation that moans about stuff when its not as we want it :)
  14. Disappointing that diopter adjustments have been available on cameras for over 30 years but they haven't done it on any of the VR headsets. Hopefully the 2nd gen will provide a better solution.
  15. Looking at the images witchking posted are the LED's/arms sitting further forward than they do on a proclip? I was wondering if they are more visible in ones peripheral vision like that?
  16. Nice review congrats. After 2 of these but as both mine and my sons pro-clips are still holding together, (barely), I'll what to see what rev III brings to the table.
  17. Hopefully the 2nd gen will have diopter adjustment, like cameras have had for the past 30 years! Then no need for glasses or contacts whilst flying. Might open VR up to a much wider audience... Looking forward to the day VR goes main stream
  18. I would have thought it would be an advantage over somebody without any sort of tracking but about the same as somebody with TrackIR.
  19. NOT SIM RELATED A "regular user" using the vive [ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcAK83sRgbc]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcAK83sRgbc[/ame]
  20. Not going to bother with the rift or vive until they has some sort of diopter adjustment for those of us that wear glasses. Camera viewfinders have had this "tech" available for over 30 years so it can't be that hard or expensive to implement surely. So diopter adjustment and 120 deg fov then I'll part with my money. 2nd or 3rd gen maybe :(
  21. I'd rather have a vr glove than a controller, so I could virtually press the buttons in the cockpit. Well done ED for looking into it.
  22. Mig 21 problem for me as well. exactly as described above. Rest of installation went flawlessly and all other modules work fine in game as well.
  23. Can't wait to get home and try this. Quick question for those that have it up and running already, are any of you using triple screens? If so, is it any easier to set up with 1.5? I seem to remember having to jump through hoops about a year ago to get it working. Was it lua files or something, been ages since I looked/tried.
