Yes, but it actually works the other-way around then you think it does (assuming from the tone of your post). It does not induce schizophrenia, it has been a biased research, like many others. Same goes to biased researches of how it effects persons intelligence. Many independent studies done within last decade have proven these wrong, and all walking-living examples of legions of regular smokers with their successful lives and careers on very demanding positions. They have been done by dependent studies who's sole purpose was to support current enforced view on this plant for only one reason... so it is not reintroduced not only as medicine, recreational smoke, but most of all as very abundant material that will put chemical industry based on oil out of business.

Brilliant solution to the worlds problems: Legalize the sale of marijuana so the government can collect all of the tax money instead of crime organizations, but keep smoking it illegal.
