Hi,

I consider buying the Thrustmaster MFD to increase my experience with the A10 even more. I read that it should work right out of the box.

But somehow i'm a little bit confused how this thing will work .

When i read the product description it says that there are only buttons to press and no actual screen to show the mfds on this external hardware. However, i've just taken a look at the following video and it appears that there is an some kind of "screen" within the Thrustmaster MFDs, in addtion to the "internal" ones and it is independent from where i look. So how can i do this? Do i need some additional equipment or is it a feature within the simulation (maybe some kind of 2d "static" pop-up windows etc):

hope this is not a (too) silly question and appopriate to this thread!

Thanks for your help!

If memory serves the MFD don't have a screen at all. they are just an MFD "picture frame" I believe is a good description, with functioning buttons for the MFCD commands. They have printable panels that you can put in them to mimic the actual screens. Or you could do what this guy has and purchase two small LCD monitors and fix the MFD panels to them.

Why is the rum always gone!?!?!?!

so, maybe you can confirm this. I have my laptop standing next to my computer. is it possible to connect the two screens, "slew" BOTH MFD screens onto my laptop screen and then put the Thrustmaster MFD frames on top of it? Is there an internal function in DCS A10 to "extract" the MFDs out of the 3d cockpit (in a 2d style) and slew it around?

Thanks again,

regards,

PS: sorry for putting it into the wrong thread!
