  1. I think George cannot cope with wind. When wind is calm he can hold a complete steady hover but as soon as there is wind he keeps oscillating/overcompensating. Not speaking about the occasions where he still suffers from VRS... Let's hope that will be fixed soon.
  2. Hi, could you please add the air source buttons on the right aft to the bindable buttons? They are all missing and are quite handy to have in my home cockpit for engine start and for example air refuelling. thanks Chris
  3. I have the same issue. The pipper is of no use at all. Everything is guesswork! The moment the target moves a tiny bit the pipper jumps all around. I hope this is an issue that can be solved. Kind regards chris
  4. I think the problem is the other way around, moving from the front to the back seat where trim is reset to zero resulting in a violent swing as no anti torque pedal is used. See my thread here:
  5. Hi, it looks like trim is not saved when switching seats. When I switch from the back to the front seat to attack something and going back afterwards, the trim has reset to zero resulting in a wild swing to the side, quite dangerous in tight spaces. Could this be changed by somehow keeping the trim for the current attitude/position when switching back to the pilot seat? thank you very much. Kind regards chris
  6. +1 this wouöd really help transitioning from cruise flight to landing etc
  7. Hi, sorry for reactivating this old thread. I'm trying to set up my own VRinsight MCP-Panel for usage with DCS. Thank you for the wonderful small program. It seems to work quite well, however I have some issues. It seems as the signal sent from the panel through your program and the DCS-Bios is very short and causes issues. For example in the F18 pressing the A/A or A/G-button sometimes works, but most of the time it does not. A longer push seems to be needed. Is there an option/value I can add in the key.ini file to make the signal longer or even as long as I press the button? Thanks for your help! Kind regards, chris
  8. Unfortunately, that has been the case with the F18 JHMCS as well. See the following threads: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=225626 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=250405 No solution has been given yet. It is really annoying using a TrackIR having to look to the ceiling in order to hook a target or see the SPI. I hope they let us adjust the height of the center of the HMCS.
  9. Thanks. I was hoping it wouldn't be a hardware issue. Maybe i just leave it for now and try to circumvent the problem by using modifiers...
  10. Hi, I've been using my Warthog HOTAS for years now in numerous flight simulators without any major problem. With the release of the wonderful 2.5 I decided to try again the A-10C. But I immediately noticed that I am not able to slew the TGP. I checked the controls and they were set for the X/Y-axis on my throttle but moving them physically (the small mouse-stick on the throttle) showed unfortunatelly now indication. I then went to the windows 10 set-up for game controllers and saw that the slew stick was perfectly in the center but i couldn't move it. However, the button press on this stick (Button 1) is working fine. Calibrating does not help as well since it is also stuck to the 512 position (both X/Y axis in the upper left-hand corner). Reinstalling the driver/target software didn't help as well. What could be the cause? I opened the throttle but no loose connection could be found. Is it just a driver issue? I hope it is not a hardware issue since the warranty has long been terminated. Can anybody help or has an idea what could be done? Thanks in advance. chris
  11. I may quote from WIkipedia: "After winning the International Fighter Aircraft competition in 1970, a program aimed at providing effective low-cost fighters to American allies, Northrop introduced the second-generation F-5E Tiger II in 1972. This upgrade included more powerful engines, higher fuel capacity, greater wing area and improved leading edge extensions for a better turn rate, optional air-to-air refueling, and improved avionics including air-to-air radar." There is also a photo of an F-5E air refuelling https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/7e/Moroccan_F-5_jet.jpg But it seems an option so it may be in or not.
  12. I want to agree here. I noticed it especially during lowering the collective. It seems as when you lower the collective just a little bit it starts to descend at a shallow rate, then you lower it just a very little momentum more and suddenly you pretty much tumble towards the ground. That especially happens to me when I'm in a hover and try to descend just a little bit. I know about vortex ring stall, but i can't believe that just a tiny movement of the collective triggers such a "fatal" reaction.
  13. You can do this already. Just disable the Auto-collective ("C"), but be sure to match your collective before.... I know what i am talking about ;)

  15. ditto. Too slow, too low and your crooked approach makes your landing more difficult than it actually is. Give yourself a little bit more space to set up your approach. A thoroughly and well planned/executed approach is at least 50% of a good landing! :smartass:
  16. Did you pressurize the ccockpit after closing the canopy?
  17. perfect! thank you very much - it should be fine to place both of them on my 2nd screen!
  18. no problem, but my question remains - the TM MFD matches CLOSELY the F-16 one - i would really like to have precise numbers here. Can somebody tell me that the TM MFD frame (outer dimensions!) is "a x b mm" Sorry for being picky here! :smilewink:
  19. Thank you for the answer. I found that picture already but i think the drawing is referring to the original MFD in the A10 - it says the Thrustmaster one is ALMOST the exact size, but this time i need to know the exact size of the complete Thrusmaster MFD to be 100% sure that it fits. Maybe somebody can confirm that the dimensions of TM are identical with the above diagram.
  20. hi, i'm running DCS A10 via a 2 screen configuration - main cockpit view 1680x1050 (TrackIR), and on the left my old flatscreen (1280x1024) where i placed the MFDs on. I now think about putting the TM MFDs on top of it to actually operate them from there. But I wonder whether the two frames would actually fit next to each other - i searched the web but could not find the exact size/dimensions of each of the TM MFD frames (the whole thing including frame). I hope some of you have the product and have the time to quickly measure it and post it here! Thank you very much for your help! kind regards, chris
  21. so, maybe you can confirm this. I have my laptop standing next to my computer. is it possible to connect the two screens, "slew" BOTH MFD screens onto my laptop screen and then put the Thrustmaster MFD frames on top of it? Is there an internal function in DCS A10 to "extract" the MFDs out of the 3d cockpit (in a 2d style) and slew it around? Thanks again, regards, christopher PS: sorry for putting it into the wrong thread!
  22. Hi, I consider buying the Thrustmaster MFD to increase my experience with the A10 even more. I read that it should work right out of the box. But somehow i'm a little bit confused how this thing will work . When i read the product description it says that there are only buttons to press and no actual screen to show the mfds on this external hardware. However, i've just taken a look at the following video and it appears that there is an some kind of "screen" within the Thrustmaster MFDs, in addtion to the "internal" ones and it is independent from where i look. So how can i do this? Do i need some additional equipment or is it a feature within the simulation (maybe some kind of 2d "static" pop-up windows etc): hope this is not a (too) silly question and appopriate to this thread! Thanks for your help! Christopher
