Hi.. some time ago the HAT switch stopped working on my X52pro throttle. Well that is not 100% accurate.. it works in one direction. I'm not sure what happen, i don't believe it has been badly knocked, it may just have some crap/fluff in it.

It would be bloody useful for the A-10c. So i'm debating taking it apart. Everything else on it works perfectly... so i'm not sure if this is sensible. I'm fairly handy.. and have a good set of tools, but i'm not technician.

Has anyone else done this.. when i open it up will springs go flying? (as it were)

Any pointers... help, useful links etc would be appreciated. :helpsmilie:

Cheers.

P.S Anyone got a throttle collecting dust?.. wanna sell it?

have disassembled my x52 noob. it can be done but just be particular with it, the hardest thing was getting a couple of screws out of the throttle handle because of the angle. you need to go in the bottom and then look for the 4 screws that hold the handle to the base and undo that to make the job a bit easier. try not to let the mfd screen/glass come out. it should not need to.

the handle part of the throttle is the "busiest" with all the cabling jammed in quite tight but it should be ok. it is fairly simple to understand once you see it and if you have the patience/time for the job its a piece o p1ss to do. i did it coz my rotaries went all twitchy/drifty and it was a freebie with no warranty so i ripped in to it and found some other interesting things in regards to build quality (nuff said).

should be sweet az. good luck
