Smokin Hole Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 This A-10 is complicated. Well duh! You say. I've found a big assist in learning this sim--my Kindle. Instead of paying $50+ to have the manual printed I just moved the .pdf file to the reader. It's perfectly formated and easy to read on the 6 inch display (The DX would be even better, and iPad better yet). For those of us who don't have dual monitors it's a perfect way to shave time off learning this flying bucket of bullets.
kylania Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 The Kindle you say? We know already. Plus it's some weird greyscale instead of color, I'll stick with my second PC. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie
lobo Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 The ipad is awesome for PDF manuals. Color. Nice bright large screen. Touch control. Compact size, you can haul it around where ever. I got it for work to haul around manuals but it is very handy for the DCS A-10 manual. Lobo's DCS A-10C Normal Checklist & Quick Reference Handbook current version 8D available here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/172905/

MadDogMcQ Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 I have the Kindle3, but still got the manual printed! The kindle is a BRILLIANT for regular ebooks but I don't think it's good enough with PDFs. Echonomix Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I'll put it on my iphone once it is out of beta, until then, my MBP beside my sim computer works well. I don't quite see why some people are getting a beta manual printed out. There are errors and IMHO, the thing seems out of order. asus p7p55d deluxe | intel i5-750 @ stock | g.skill ripjaw 4gb | asus geforce gtx 470 @ stock | trackir 4 | thrustmaster hotas warthog | win7 home premium 64bit
