Tronjer Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Mission description tells something about battlefield commander mode. Does that mean one can use the map as some kind of strategic layer, to command combined forces for a common strike? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
159th_Viper Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Taken from Home Page: Battlefield Commander Mode When assigned in the Mission Editor, players can give commands to friendly ground forces. In this mode, players can give ground units movement orders, formation assignments, and targeting (particularly for artillery). This can be a useful tool in a mission when you want to redirect ground forces. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder! Grimes Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 If enabled you can control units via the map screen. You can set a final destination waypoint with road or bridge priority, in addition you can set their travel speed. Its pretty basic, but also pretty useful. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Geskes Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 You can also control unit formation. It doesnt appear as a clickable button, but if you click the formation of the unit in the theater view, it will give a list of possible formations which you can select. If enabled you can control units via the map screen. You can set a final destination waypoint with road or bridge priority, in addition you can set their travel speed.
