Chillspider Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 During startup the eac switch below the throttle switches a different switch when pressed. I tried using the keyboard shortcut but that does not work so I cant move forward in the startup training. Is there another way around it. slug88 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 (edited) Please read the FAQ before posting about beta issues: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=58400 (This issue has been posted about dozens of times already.) To clarify: if you map the EAC switch to your keyboard/joystick, you should be able to turn EAC on and off. The switch inside the cockpit won't move, but you should see the EAC caution light on the right hand caution panel disappear. Edited October 24, 2010 by slug88 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Chillspider Posted October 24, 2010 Author Posted October 24, 2010 o for reference mapping never worked that was what i was saying I know that it was a bug and not to use the clickable button . I have a mapping issue Dell XPS 630i w/ Dell nForce 650i Sli ,Intel Q9650 @3.0 ,6.0 GB Ram @800Mhz, 2xGeforce 9800 GT 512 MB ,Saitek X52, Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals ,Dell 24" 1080P HD monitor, Klipsch THX Pro Media 2.1 ,TrackIR 4, Logitech MX518 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
slug88 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Actually there are less than 20 questions on that FAQ page (of which yours was one.) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Chillspider Posted October 24, 2010 Author Posted October 24, 2010 you said it can be mapped but i cant seperate issue from that FAQ question Dell XPS 630i w/ Dell nForce 650i Sli ,Intel Q9650 @3.0 ,6.0 GB Ram @800Mhz, 2xGeforce 9800 GT 512 MB ,Saitek X52, Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals ,Dell 24" 1080P HD monitor, Klipsch THX Pro Media 2.1 ,TrackIR 4, Logitech MX518 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
slug88 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 It works for me and many others. I don't see anywhere in the FAQ where it explicitly says it can't be mapped. How do you know mapping it to the keyboard isn't working for you? Are you seeing the EAC warning lamp remaining lit after activating it? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
kylania Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 EAC Arm can be mapped in both A-10C Sim and A-10C Game control modes under Options, both to a keyboard entry or X52 entry, but not a mouse button. There's no default key mapping for this however. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie
Chillspider Posted October 24, 2010 Author Posted October 24, 2010 Remove thread please . kylania Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Remove thread please . This thread is now another result people can search for and find answers to the same question they'll have later. :) It would be a shame to remove that. And it has a better title than most other "eac arm" posts. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie
Arclight Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I'm sure that won't stop people from posting yet another thread though. :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] DCS A-10C: putting the 'art' into 'warthog'. (yes, corny. Sorry.)
Chillspider Posted October 24, 2010 Author Posted October 24, 2010 (edited) ya I always search and after a while when you put all the stuff in one little area it becomes a pain. And search always gives you a million answers when just posting something real quick gets you a quick answer. I did post a question before and waited and waited then i posted new thread wasnt 30 seconds and i had my answer then you get people who want to be forum mods telling you where to specifically go to look. If i paid good money starting my own post should not be a problem even if asked already and sometimes there answers are not helpful and posting there in a thread with 30-50 pages your question can be quickly lost Edited October 24, 2010 by Chillspider u Dell XPS 630i w/ Dell nForce 650i Sli ,Intel Q9650 @3.0 ,6.0 GB Ram @800Mhz, 2xGeforce 9800 GT 512 MB ,Saitek X52, Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals ,Dell 24" 1080P HD monitor, Klipsch THX Pro Media 2.1 ,TrackIR 4, Logitech MX518 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
