Loving the Beta so far:

Are more training missions a WIP, such as communications (there are others, but I just can't think of any at the top of my head)?

When I'm flying missions now, there's some things I'm rusty on, and I read through the manual and get a general idea, but I'm still not 100% comfortable with, and I think to myself "Man, I wish there was a training mission with this in it (such as autopilot)".

Communications would be a big thing right now, as I have no clue how :P And I could think that refueling would require a whole training mission in itself when it gets implemented later on.

I don't know if there will be added training missions or not.

My hope is that Wags does a giant series of Producer's Notes on youtube again. They were indispensable on BS for covering what the training missions didn't.

As for the autopilot specifically...there isn't one. To put it simply, the A10 just has an attitude/altitude hold, altitude/heading hold, and heading hold. They all work with a simple on/off button. There's no waypoint following, no altitude or heading select, no course intercept. The A10 only has an "autopilot" in the most primitive sense of the word, and it couldn't be simpler to use!

Turn EAC on. I believe it only works with the keyboard command in this beta though. Then just press 1 and you will fly straight and level. You can press 2,3,4 for the different modes. 1 turns AP on and off. Its that simple.

Couldn't agree more. Obviously the more training missions the better. I'd put JTAC pretty high up in the list of useful training scenarios. Mid-air refueling would be tricky I'd think, simply because you are interacting directly with an AI object and a level of guidance outside of the button procedure would be needed. I do hope more youtube videos are created, either by ED or by the user base demonstrating specific features of the aircraft.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

I have to agree also very strongly.

I was going through the NAVIGATION one last night and I though that it could have been made of at least 4 different ones (each more pedagogical, slow and explaining all the facets of those complex systems...)

For some of the more complex items, I would recommend chopping the training sessions in smaller and more detailed explanations please.

In DCS I fly jets with thousands of pounds of thrust...

In real life I fly a humble Cessna Hawx XP II with 210 HP :D
