TOMCATZ Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 hm ...Sounds like you use one material for two different models. Try to rename the "material" name in your Max program and export it as .lom file again. Regards, TOM Born to fly but forced to work.
combatace Posted November 7, 2010 Author Posted November 7, 2010 No Tom that is not the problem. I already have different names for both the texture I even stripped off UVs and material and re-added them but get same results. OldCrow Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Check that your material names are unique and not the same as your texture names. Check any .skins files you have on the model [sIGPIC]http://www.virtualredarrows.com/member_sigs/vra2012_crow.png[/sIGPIC]

aaron886 Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 I've seen this before, for an object I made it chose to use a random texture from TempTextures. I can't for the life of me remember how i fixed it, but somehow I did. Could still be material names, have you checked those?

OldCrow Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Keep in mind that material names and texture names are two different things. Material name is the name of the material in 3dsmax. Lockon use this name to attatch the textures to the correct materials on your model. So if you havent changed the material name of your model, they will most likely conflict with another model which can result in lockon putting the wrong texture on your model. If you change the material name to something unique, this problem should disapear. Texture name = the name of your texture Material name = the name of the material in 3dsamax Also, try to avoid using spaces in your texture name, so if one of your texture names is killer machine_R_77.tga, try to change it to killer_machine_R_77.tga [sIGPIC]http://www.virtualredarrows.com/member_sigs/vra2012_crow.png[/sIGPIC]
