weedman Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Hey all i am having a problem with hud allignment especially with large payloads. problem is that the hud is angling itself mid flight even when i am maintaining a steady flight path, this makes ccrp incredibly difficult as i will have to bank the wing 60 odd degrees just to line up the solution cues, and even then its pointless as i would not be level i would be in a turn. Any ideas what could be causing this or how to reset the hud completley i have done a restart + bit test of the iffcc to no avail? please help
26-J39 Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Not sure what u mean by "HUD Alignment"? Can u be more descriptive or even better post a track.

If in yaw, then probably your HUD is fine and you experience wind or asymmetric drag. If it is angled in bank (horizon lines do not align with real horizon), your NAV system is working incorrectly (i.e. alignment has not been completed). In anyway, post a track. Wir sehen uns in Walhalla.
CrashEd Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 I noticed this recently, but as it happened only the once I put it down to either a random failure or mis/un-aligned INS. The mis-alighnment of the HUD was in the roll axis and I didn't have a particularly heavy loadout.
