Konovalov Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Hey cool, do you have the double fan of the noctua or you went the insane tripple fan ? i ll seek that list, when Dark posted Noctua wasn t even being sold. No insane route for me. Just the stock 120mm at the front sucking in and the 140mm in the middle. Besides I have a rear case 120mm fan which is behind the cooler anyway. The Noctua NH-D40 is a breeze to install despite it's massive size and it really does secure it tight to the CPU socket. Much better mounting system than my old socket 775 Tuniq Tower 120 HSF although that wasn't bad. One thing that the Noctua has over the Corsair H50 is that the center 140mm fan is mounted quite low and helps in bringing air over motherboard components around the socket area which I'm sure the motherboard appreciates. Does it really ? As i sayd component cooling isnt an issue for me, well not now anyway. I was in fear that the massive size and FAN of the noctua could create an air cushion impeding the air flow that would cool memory and chip, which wouldn t occur with the H50 as the radiator is placed elsewhere and leave the mobo clear for any other fan to do the cooling.
