REL Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Hey Is there a way to Powerup the A-10C Avioncis without using the APU ? and if so what are the procedures ?
kylania Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) Sure is, your engines. Shouldn't start your avionics until your engines are running and your generators are active and you've shut down your APU. :) Page 595 of the manual. Dimebag1 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Ground power unit? Lol jk, how about the ac inverters from the engines? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
MrYenko Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 The avionics will start from the AC inverter that runs off the battery, but you'd never do that in real life. You'd either get a ground power cart, run the APU, or wait to start the engines. Also, the A-10C seems to be sensitive to power-source changes, which is why I always wait until at least one engine generator is on line before powering the CDU, CICU, or IFFCC. Switching from APU power to EDG power almost always knocks them offline long enough that they have to reboot.

This seems to be a bug. Edit: Yes this is a reported bug which is being worked on. Edited November 14, 2010 by sobek Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa!
