Tuna-Salad Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I know how to drop the GBU-10 and 24, but not the GBU-31 JDAM When in ccrp I do not get the same symbology as I do with the GBU-10 Have managed to drop the gbu-31 once and not sure what I did that was any different. I see people talking about pages in the manual as well, but.. I don't see a manual in any of the folders.. where would that be located?
gekoiq Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 You will have to be a lot more specific. The manual is in the doc folder.
Frederf Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I assume you mean GBU-12 not -24. Remembering is as easy as 1, 2, 3: GBU-1X Paveway II GBU-2X Paveway III GBU-3X JDAM The GBU-31 or -38 is one of the easiest to drop. Call up the weapon either in a formal profile or the M/ manual profile. Make sure you're in CCRP (CCRP-IAM to be picky). Give yourself a good, accurate SPI. Once the range mark drops into the release window (between the two carets) the bomb release constraint enters "MAN REL" which simply requires one to press the release button. Make sure to hold it until the bomb comes off as it takes a few seconds for the bomb to download the data from the jet and make ready.
