Today while searching for a place to buy hall effect sensors and potentiometers, I found a thai flight sim community! They play Falcon 4, IL2, MSFS and ... drumroll please... Lock On! And guess what, there was a thread started by someone asking why aren't there any people flying LOMAC online and the responses are pretty unanimous -- lomac needs highend system (something most Thais cannot afford easily) and steep learning curve made worst by the manual written in English. I'll do my best to spread the words there about FC.

Learning how to fly and fight in a real jet is equivalent of getting two masters degrees. Thank God that ED didn't make FC absolute realistic. Otherwise, we will still sitting on the ground and figuring how to get the engine started.

actually. It's having to look up a dictionary every few seconds while reading the manual that is frustrating to some of them. I think only couple of guys understands English. Couple that with horrible fps and it's doomed from the start.

 

But the majority of them (and there are very, very few) seem to want to play Lomac and want it to gain momentum like MSFS. So, I think I'll go there regularly from now on. Most of them already heard about FC and wanted to know when it'll be available here. Too bad I had to tell them it won't. Trying to figure out a way to tell them that I can have my sister in the states get FC and ship them to us without sounding like I want to pimp them.
