Help on MFD screens needed...

Hello to all in this community....

 

This is my first time to register to a forum.

But the correct use of DCS A-10 in combination with my TrackIR v5, HOTAS Warthog, Cougar MFDs and Simped F-16-USB is a bit overwhelming and sometimes frustrating...:doh: and therefore i would like to ask for help.

 

Besides the problems i have with the correct implementation and/or mapping of my brake pedals and the trim switch on the stick i would like to ask for advice/help for the use of the Cougar MFDs in conjunction with USB/VGA screens:

 

1. using USB-devices i think that the performance of the system will go down significantly. Is this correct?

 

2. What do i need if i would like to add two more screens, either working together with the Cougar hardware or LCDs/TFTs or even touch-screens with separate vga connection? Is there additional software needed to extract the MFDs to the screens or is it done by Win7 or the graphics adapter control center?

 

My PC is running on Win7 64 bit Professional, Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3GHz (motherboard guessed ASUS, but i need to recheck), NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250, Monitor BenQ FP767.

 

I have no clue at all with hardware specials or lua-programming (it even took me two days and lots of coffee to connect my HOTAS and the rudder pedals to Win7), so please be so kind to answer understandable for the stupid me :huh:

Hi ZipLip, about your first question I use a 7" usb monitor to show the TAD and the loss in performance it's not noticeable at least in Beta 2, but in Beta 3 you really can notice it.

 

And for the second question you need to modify some lua files to be able to use additional screen with the sim.
