His 5870 is *not* faster than my o/c 470 if he is running stock. ;)

What is your mobo, what is your CPU v and are you air cooled? 4000 is a good o/c for the i920 if stable.

Most of the reviews I see say the 5870 edges the 470. 470 has a couple games its better at, but most go to the ATI. 5870 can be had for just over $200 now as well.

Use CPUz program and take a screen shot of it with the Windows Snipping tool. Like the below. :smartass:

I was concerned about my system with the DCS A-10C, even though I am able to run most other sims on the highest settings without a problem. After reading this, it doesn't look like I will have a problem; I just hope running dual-monitors with output to the Cougar MFD's and HELIOS on the secondary won't be a major performance hit.

All game engines do not perform the same. One engine may have better graphics optimization or just lower quality graphics than DCS.

Power5,

The Snipping Tool comes standard with Windows 7. Just type "Snipping Tool" in the "Search programs and files" from the start menu. Very easy to use.
