Wingmen need more backbone

I have read this somewhere else once but I never saw it till I started to use the AVI recorder. My wingmen say "enaged defensive" then proceeds to jettison his entire load and even after doing that still gets shot down.

Is there a way to give him a little more courage in the face of the enemy? I need him and his ordinance to complete the missions. Some LUA tweak or perhaps something that can be included in the next patch

You mean they need another command like / & F1 & F13 (ONE: "If I see you drop those weapons I WILL SHOOT YOU DOWN MYSELF!" ?

 

Just park him in a loop out of range & then when you've done your bit steal his plane off him ...

I can agree and relate.

 

One mission for example, I have set up a flight of Su-33's with me included. We are to destroy a specific carrier already designated in the mission editor with Kh-41's. Of course, we encounter A2A bandits along the way, and they go defensive. When they do, my wingmen immediately drop ANY and ALL of their A2G ordinance. They really are taking "going defensive" to a whole new level...

 

Because of this, I am the only one of my flight to have the weapons to complete the mission, and one Kh-41 isnt enough to take down a ship such as a carrier. It is a definite "FAILED."

 

This goes the same for any other ground attack mission where we would encounter airborne threats.

just for the record I am using V1.1 the other thread sugested it did not happen in the new version .... well it does
