hog_driver111th Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Anyone good with electronics that can tell me if these tactile switches would be a good idea for the CDU and UFD in the warthog? They are really cheap, and I'd probably buy around 150 of them for a total of $10 including shipping. I already have a few panels cut out of wood, ready to be painted and engraved (by hand...). If I can get the tactile switches and wire them to an OC card with SIOC (sp?) they should work fine within A-10C. http://www.taydaelectronics.com/servlet/the-1663/Tact-Switch-TACT-SWITCH/Detail A-10C - FC3 - CA - L-39 - UH1 - P-51 - Hawk - BS2 - F-86 - Gazelle - F-5E - AV8B - F/A-18C i5-4590 - GTX 1060 - Oculus CV1 - TM:Warthog [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic9979_1.gif[/sIGPIC]
rocketeer Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Check if there is matching cap with it. If not get the omron B3F-4050 bit has square and round caps with ideal size for cdu and ufc. See post 23 by Boot in http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=62995. There are tactile switches with longer/taller body. Dont get those type. They wobble sideways too much. The 4050 doesn't wobble much as it is stiffer. I'd like a push button to go straight down and not sideways. My A10C cockpit thread
