While im waiting for the A-10's full release i have DL the beta manual to familiarize myselfs with the different systems and gimmicks. And after 150 pages i thought: :helpsmilie:

Is this a simulator or is this a simulator! So...looking back at my present LO FC1.12B A-10 were i understand the plane and its capabilities from a scale from 0 to 10 i would rate myself on a 8. But...this DCS machine is a different piece of cake. Putting FC 1.12B next to DCS A-10, im i starting at the scale on nr.... -5 setting the realism to max?

Without sollutions there aren't any problems

Welcome to the DCS series of flight sims... :D

BTW, you really should DL the beta if you want to learn. You need to sit in the cockpit and understand the buttons and procedures it takes to fly this thing.

If you wait for the final release, it going to take you several more weeks or more before you might be ready to jump into the campaigns. The flight manual really means nothing until you fly.

Ive had the beta from the beginning and I'm still learning, trying to squeeze in time between family obligations.

I'm avoiding all of the campaigns and other Ed missions until its complete. Plus the A10 community is making some great training missions while we wait.

Just my .02 cents.

Keep working at it, force yourself to read up on the various systems. There are no easy answers.

Start with what ever aspects of the sim fascinate you the most and that way it won't feel like work, the rest of the pieces will fall into place.

Im so glad that there still are developers for combat flightsimulators. I must admit, i gave up on Falcon 4.0. The last simulator i truly understood was Falcon 3.0 on 5 floppys playing on my 386SX 25 MHZ (My friend had a 486DX,grrrr...)

When Falcon 4.0 came out it was too much for me. But now im a "bit" older and im more serious with (combat) flightsims. Ive been flying the 747-400 from PMDG in FS9 for years. I am even able to program the FMC manual. But in Fs9 i have time...dont need to worry for that ir sam. Anyways...

Falcon 4 is a great project. Somehow DCS seems more accesible to me. So yeah, as soon as i fly the A-10 probably things will starting to fall in place.

From what i have seen from YT vids, the graphics are very neat (FSX level?) and the cockpit systems are very neatly projected. So far i must say: Damn good job DCS! Bring out the full release and you have a buyer!

Light the fires and burn the tires, bad boys for life:joystick::pilotfly::thumbup:

DCS is much more farther advanced than simple game called LO. I am happy with that :D

Falcon is good project, but soon will die :)

GFX is rather far from FSX level payware products, but overall graphic has been upgraded rather strongly compared to LO\BS.:]

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

Strange, i didn t had much problem learning the aspect i wished in F4. When i bought LO after i was a bit disapointed as there was so many spaces empty left to be programed on my cougar.

DCS is a beast that tower over Falcon when it came to system management. I ll only buy A10 when i put my hand on the Warthog. Which is unbeliavably LOST beetween the Custom and Brazilian mail.

Im so freaking P... and scarred, this is no small buy.

I'm on a seven months holiday, but downloaded the manual on my iPod so I can study the sim while being in a colombian jungle....love being here but can't wait to be back. Will have to save some money for TM WT though.

You don't need to save money for it, get it from wallmart.com with your credit card and just pay 1bill a month for 5 months. That is what I did.:P
