BETA 4 - Problem with Nav training mission?

Hi guys,

 

I've just been trying to complete the Navigation training mission and I'm finding a showstopper problem that might be a bug or might be a hardware configuration issue at my end.

 

Once you've turned north towards Kopitnari you're asked to change SPI to WP4: Poti. Having done this, you're then asked to slew the TDC down towards the bottom of the HUD and use either (hold) HOTAS TMS UP or LCTL + Up to designate a new SPI.

 

Neither combination seems to work for me and the tutorial doesn't advance.

 

I'm not sure if it's relevant or not, but I'm using a TM Warthog, 2x TM Cougar MFDs and gameport Simped Pro pedals that are attached through the base of my TM Cougar. When I look in the options menu I find that:

 

* LCTL + Up is assigned to "TMS UP"

* HOTAS TMS UP on the Warthog is assigned to "TMS AFT"

* "TMS UP" cannot be assigned to the Warthog (there's no available box in the option menu) ONLY the Cougar.

 

Any help on resolving this issue would be hugely appreciated.

Ignore. It turns out I was missing a critical piece of HUD feedback.

For others, I found that you really need the TDC to be near the bottom of the HUD for this to work.

I had the same problem, can you tell once more how to overcome this? What did I miss in the HUD?

Poistion the TDC over a terrain spot near the bottom of the hud before designating the SPI.
