OK, So I got an idea today and I mapped all keys of the CDU and UFC to my keyboard with a modifier on my joystick using control setup in DCS. It was a bit of work to bind all the keys but now it is absolute sweetness.

If I get new coordinate its just some taps on my keypad with the modifier held down and its in.

Also sending text messages ridiculing the flight lead in MP to the number 3 is always amuzing and very fast now :)

MUCH faster then clicking everything.

I guess everyone found this by long already but I am just so happy how it works now couldnt resist some forum spamming :)

How do you configure the "Pinky" button on the Stick?

I'm tying to change it to simulate a L+CTRL so that I don't have to use 2 hands to Trim the plane. [left hand on L+CTRL and the right thumb on the hat]

Go to modifiers (it is shown bottom left in control setup menu) > select ADD > hit pinky > OK > done.

Then change the modifier on the trim from L CTRL to the newly set pinky modifier and you are done.

You can use the modifier now for any other commands as well, like UFC / CDU as I did.

Hey Geskes, can you share how you did this? I didn't see options for CDU or UFC in the in-game controller setup. Do I need to modify one of the .lua files directly?

Jhepburn, that was missing from mine too with a clean install of Beta 3.

There was some discussion here on the forums a month or so ago, and Kuky was kind enough to provide his keyboard lua that had all that keymapping functionality.

I went thru my downloads and I think I found it, I attached it below.

Backup your original of course.

Thanks WX, I'll give it a shot. I am the guy who hates remapping his HOTAS, so I just copy my input folder from one beta to the next....I'm pretty sure I probably just overwrote something I needed.

I'm downloading the full install for B4, and I'll give this a shot. Thanks!

Your'e welcome pal, I am right there with you on the remapping! I have done the same thing.

I just worry that they will add some new keymapping to the cockpit switches in Beta 4 that I overwrote with my modified Beta 3 keyboard lua. I will try to compare them today.
