BKLronin Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 In case of any improvements to te water rendering I suggest to change the way water is generally handled in DCS. If I remember correct water is even drawn under the terrain where you can´t see it. I know they are many restrictions to te engine but a water mask could save a lot fps making more advanced water surfaces modeling possible. I think thats the way water is done in X-plane. You define a mask where water should be rendered and it´s only rendered within that region. I could be wrong but from making scenery I think it was done that way. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
