Spartan1-1 Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Hey can someone confirm or deny that the Warthog Covers will or will not fit the Saitek x65f? Thanks in advance. MTFDarkEagle Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 I can't confirm/deny it, but I would suspect they would fit, though not as tight/made for as with the wh.. I suspect not many will be able to answer, as it's designed for the wh.. not the x65f.. But, then again, you never know :) Just my 0.02 :) Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
Spartan1-1 Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 Yea, appreciate it. I'm hoping someone will have the answer here. I emailed the website and even they said they're not sure. I know a bunch of guys have, or have tried both HOTASs. Fingers are crossed because I'd like a set. MTFDarkEagle Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 I suppose you could just order a set, and if necessary mod the covers to fit the x65f better. Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
Le0kong Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Judging from these side-by-side pictures, i think only the force panels will be a problem if you have them fixed. http://www.simhq.com/_technology3/technology_174e.html http://www.simhq.com/_technology3/technology_174f.html RogueRunner from this forum as both HOTAS if i not mistaken, but i don't think he has the covers. :P AMD Athlon II X2 240 2.8@3360 MHz | MB Asus M4A78-EM | 4GB DDR2-800 Kingston | XFX HD 5770 @850-900/1200-1300 | 500G Samsung HD502HI | Case CM 335 | CM-EPP 460W | Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit) | Saitek X65F | Freetrack(Wii Remote) | LG 23' W2353V
Spartan1-1 Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 I'm going to have to try it. LawnDart Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Can't comment on the X65, but the Cougar covers fit the Warthog too - just not as snug and form fitting as the ones tailored for the Warthog though. I suspect the same would be true for the Warthog covers on other sticks, as these units are quite large. Just don't expect a perfect seam/fit.
