DocSigma Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 I was wondering if presets are working functional yet? I tried to load presets into VHF1. Steps: 1: Set to TR 2: Mode to Preset 3: dial in first freqency on preset #1, click load 4: dial in second freqency on preset #2, click load When i turn the dial to 1 the frequency indicators are still locked on the frequency I dialed in for preset 2. Frederf Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Setting AM presets is: 1. Dial in frequency 2. Mode MAN 3. Select Preset 1-20 4. LOAD *Steps 1-3 can be done in any order You cannot load the selected freq into a preset when the mode is set in PRE. The manual freq digit knobs are not motorized or anything they always stay where you left them. They just don't mean anything unless you're in MAN mode.

Frederf Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 For the AM radio: radio on, manual mode, dial in freq, select preset position, load.
epokha Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 OMG I still can't do it! 1: Set to TR. 2: Mode to MAN. 3: Dial in first frequency on preset #1, click load. 4: Dial in second frequency on preset #2, click load. 5: Once finished move mode to Preset. 6: Move preset number to talk on the frequency that you saved it to. I follow these instructions and I can contact ATC when its on manual. ill hit load. Then I switch to preset and repeat another ATC command and it doesn't work! *face palm* Its so simple! nomdeplume Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 How am i getting this wrong?!?!?! How are you testing? I just did a quick test and it worked fine, although the option to request taxi was eventually replaced by request takeoff, and since I was still parked on the ramp they started ignoring me. I guess they didn't think it was funny anymore. Maybe post a track of your attempts?
epokha Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Just a straight ramp start. I've been trying it in every mission. Its getting to the point of posting a track. Stay tuned. Frederf Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Just a straight ramp start. I've been trying it in every mission. Its getting to the point of posting a track. Stay tuned. You wouldn't happen to be using 'easy comms', Beta3, or a Beta3 patched to Beta4? Your procedure is correct. There's also a bug with the frequency wheels where the visible number and actual value get desync'd. Let the entire animation play after each click before adjusting the frequency knob again.
epokha Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Nope straight beta 4 install and easy comms off. It could be that resync bug. I'll try it when i wake up enough to sim AMD 3600X- 32GB RAM - Gigabyte Geforce RTX 2080Ti - 512GB NVme Samsung 830 256Gb 840 256Gb SSD - Track IR 4.0 + TrackClip Pro - Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog - WarBRD base mount and extention - Simped F16/USB (Stolen!) - Thrustmaster T-flight pedals (spew) DCS KA-50 Blackshark 1 & 2; DCS P-51 Mustang; DCS A-10C Warthog; DCS UH-1 Huey; DCS F-86F; DCS Mi-8MTV2; DCS Mig-21bis; DCS: AV-8b; DCS: Spitfire IX; DCS: NS430; DCS: Combined Arms; Lock On Flaming Cliffs 3; Rise of Flight; IL2:1946;
