undertheradar Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 (edited) Hello, I am trying to play with the A-10 but when I get in the pit, all I see are instruments floating, no pit. External view is mostly good but sidewinder textures are gone. No problem with the F-15. Please help. Thank you! Edit: seems to only be a problem in Quick Start Edited January 3, 2011 by undertheradar
Konovalov Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Do you have any mods installed or is this a clean install? Is this Flaming Cliffs 2 or older Lockon? undertheradar Posted January 3, 2011 Author Posted January 3, 2011 FC2, no mods, patch 1.2.1. Thanks!
Konovalov Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 All I can suggest is to reinstall otherwise you can follow the instructions in the troubleshooting FAQ within this forum section and hopefully someone with a better understanding of FC2 mechanics can pin down the problem based off the info and files you provide. undertheradar Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 There is no real support for ED titles, just a user community?
Buehgler Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 There is no real support for ED titles, just a user community? That would be incorrect. Just visit http://support.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ and click on the "user support" tab on the lower left. 1 [/url][sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

undertheradar Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 Problem has popped up again. Affects all jets, not just A-10 and all mission types... quickstart, missions... Win7 64 ATI 5850 8 Megs RAM Thanks!
EtherealN Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Could you please supply a full DxDiag report to start off? I need some time to look for similars, but most cases of this happening are caused by mods or drivers so this will need a bit of digging. If you need guidelines on how to supply a DxDiag, please see here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=52089 Also, just to try it out, if you use Catalyst AI, try disabling it and report the results. (That thing's number is 6, threescore, and 6... :P ) This problem occurs with a mod free install. I currently have 2 VNAO mods installed. I will certainly disable them if needed. The ed person working my ticket previously asked me to disable catalyst AI but, that did not help. Thank you for your time, I appreciate it :)DxDiag.txt
undertheradar Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 The ed person working my ticket previously asked me to disable catalyst AI but, that did not help. Great. With the latest drivers, you have to "hack" it off :( http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=279&threadid=146892
undertheradar Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 Great. With the latest drivers, you have to "hack" it off :( http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=279&threadid=146892 I followed the instructions on that page and my pits have been loading consistently now. I will keep you posted. Thanks again, very much, for your kind offer :)
EtherealN Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Great news - when looking at your DxDiag I was starting to ponder the driver, though I was more on the track of wondering if it was specific to some texture filtering that would need to be shut off. Let me know how it goes. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
galagamo Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 I remember having this problem with my 5850, I messed around a little and discovered with out a doubt that it was the 'adaptive antialiasing' causing the transparent cockpit textures. I had to disable it in the CCC [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] OS:WIN7 HP X64|MOBO:ASRock Z68|CPU:I52500k@4Ghz|RAM:12Gb 3x4Gb GSkill Ripjaws 9-9-9-24 @1600Mhz|GPU:ASUS GTX580|HDD:2x128Gb Crucial sataIII SSD raid0|PSU:Antek 1000watt|Case:Antek 1200|Peripherals: TMWH|Saitek ProFlight rudder pedals|TrackIr4
