There are only two exes, launcher.exe and simulator.exe. originally SP shortcut is addressed to launcher.exe and MP shortcut is addressed to simulator.exe, but now when I try to run simulator.exe directly from bin folder it runs for a while and then stops, there is no display of any screen and the process can only be seen to work in task manager and as I said it stops after some time.

clean out your temp folder and try again.

goto: Eagle Dynamics/LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2/Temp and delete everything in there but your Mission folder.

Then creat a shortcut to Simulator.exe and change the .ico to the one in this folder:

Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming cliffs 2\FUI\FC-3.ico

The target Properties for the shortcut should read "C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\bin\x86\stable\simulator.exe" --net gui Just make sure that the file path matches what your path is to the simulator.exe

hmm - what does it all say under the "shortcut" tab when you right click? Check that you have the quotations around the right stuff and that there is only one set of quotes I see i had two in the post above - its now edited.

also check to see if there is any path in the "start in" field when you right click. Mine shows:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2"

oh - sorry i misunderstood.

the short running problem happens to me from time to time. Clearing my Temp folder out always fixes the issue for both Black Shark and Lomac.

From what I can tell the crashes can oft be caused by driver issues... have you changed any drivers lately?

try running in windowed format vs fullscreen or vice versa.

failing that, look for your crash files and open them in Notepad. see if they are referencing simulator.exe and post them in the bugs forum where EtherealN or someone more capable might be able to interpret. also try to create a dx report too" http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=44466

wish i could help more mate

I figured it out. 'Target' line shout be exactly like this

"C:\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\bin\x86\stable\simulator.exe" --net gui

I had to put --net gui in there.

And the 'start in' line should be exactly this

"C:\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2" instead of

"C:\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\bin\x86\stable"

NOTE: I have installed FC2 directly in C drive like C:\Lockon Flaming cliffs 2

No not at all, because it funny that multiplayer can't be run directly by executing simulator.exe even though it is the short cut of it and it depends on the way shortcut id defined.
