Steve01670 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Hi Everyone After reading through this very friendly and informative forum i decided to take the plunge and buy Black Shark and a Warthog set up as well as Saitek Pro pedals to get back into flight sims after a long lay off I am having a few troubles and any help would be appreciated... I am running Vista 32bit with version 1.00 of Black Shark I cannot get the joystick or throttles to work at all. the axis button on the options/ controls page is not lit up. I have checked in Windows and all seems fine I have tried runnng Target during the game with success on the buttons but not throttle or cyclic control. I use the Target file for black shark and the game does recognise the controls as thrustmaster combined I need a method of programming the stick and throttles please as well as the buttons. I have tried the downloads from this site without success. When i plug in the rudder pedals, the cylic moves as well. Sorry for the long winded post and any help would be greatly appreciated Steve 1
power5 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Not sure. My G940 has been automatically detected every time I plug it in. Weird that the buttons are programmable but not the axis. Steve01670 Posted January 9, 2011 Author Posted January 9, 2011 Update Reinstalled the game as i think i screwed all the control files, ran with Target bs script and the joystick now works The throttle controls the rudder but i am on my way Just a bit of mapping in Target i guess
power5 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 If you are using Target, remove all the in game mapping for the joysticks. That has been the recommendation on here for others with problems. I think only the joystick axis are mapped and the fire buttons maybe. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Aaron i7 2600k@4.4ghz, GTX1060-6gb, 16gb DDR3, T16000m, Track IR5 BS2-A10C-UH1-FC3-M2000-F18C-A4E-F14B-BF109
Steve01670 Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 Thanks again as that seemed to work fine and i can control the aircraft with the joystick. There are just 2 things...... 1. How can i use the right hand throttle on the warthog throttle to control the collective? 2. The left hand throttle controls the rudder. Can this be changed? I am sorting thogh the keys etc but am using the default Target GUI for BS which is ok for now
Spetz Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 You should just be able to delete ALL the joystick buttons and axis in game and then reprogram. Select your axis you want to program..move whatever axis on your stick you want, et voila. Your rudder pedals work the same. Delete ALL the rudder pedal inputs within game and then redo only the ones you need. Question, Why do you want only one throttle to work the collective ? Just wondering as it makes sense to use both IMHO. (Make sure to inverse it as well so you "pull" the collective up.

Steve01670 Posted January 28, 2011 Author Posted January 28, 2011 Spetz Thanks for the reply. I followed your advice and can now use the warthog throttle for the collective. Thanks sgain. Just one more thing............ I fly with all autopilot lights lit but when i come to slow down to a hover, the aircraft starts slewing around as if i has full rudder on. Any advice please??
Steve01670 Posted January 29, 2011 Author Posted January 29, 2011 Now that i have the warthog throttle mapped to the collective to my liking a new problem has emerged...... As soon as i am airborne the Ekran goes off like a christmas tree warning me of engine overspeed. This happens almost constantly in flight and i can no longer fly straight and level as before Is it a case of me being ham fisted on the wh throttle? Seems as though i have gone one step forward and three back Any help appreciated
IIIJG11 Reaper Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Just ensure you are at the correct power setting and not in idle,,yes you will get a short warning on takeoff from the system.
Steve01670 Posted February 1, 2011 Author Posted February 1, 2011 Thanks for the reply Reaper I give Page Up button 2 taps then leave the throttle alone and use the cylic and collective only and the Ekran warns me of engine overspeed almost constantly I did not seem to have this problem prior to using th warthog throttle to control the collective Thanks again
