TEXAS SHOOTOUT 2011

SamdontmesswithTexas.jpg

ALRIGHT YA BUNCH A FLEA BITTEN VARMITS!!!

BE IN THE STREET AT HIGH NOON WITH YUR SIX SHOOTERS ON!

IT’S FIGHTIN TIME YA OUTLAW STICK JOCKEY’S!!!

As our server has moved to Dallas, and 159th_Machinegun has an annual March LAN party

that in the past has invaded other servers to fly and party, he thought he’d try something

a bit different this year.

The TEXAS SHOOT OUT runs Thursday March 10 at noon

to noon Sunday March 13. (Texas time, GMT -6)

These nut jobs (I'll be one this year) do nothing but drink energy drinks and beer, fly,

and stop only long enough to eat, and hit the head. They’ve been doing this for years and

thought they’d invite the Lock On community this year. The idea is for each squad that is

interested in participating to submit a couple missions that run 4 hours each. (or whatever)

They’ll be run on the 159th server. We’ll try to ensure the best time

frames are run for the squad summiting the mission. But any and ALL pilots, in a squad or not,

are encouraged to participate. This is not an official 159th sponsored event but will run on our server.

Our Team Speak will be used as well, but of course any squad can use their own.

The idea however is to meet folks and draw the community closer.

(not in a damn broke back way either ya saddle tramps!)

This is not a recruiting event. Just a fly fest! So pull up your ice cooler, strap on your headset and let’s have some fun.

If Squads are so inclined we’d love to “barrow” some missions that can run approximately four hours,

but whatever ya have would be fine. We are asking that tried and tested missions ONLY be submitted to ensure that

there are no issues. This is why squads are being asked. Please ensure at least 20 birds are available

on both sides, more if you map maker types think its needed.

All pilots can of course come and go as they please in any and all missions.

Get killed, respawn and shoot the bastard back!!!

ALL missions will be deleted from the server at the end of the meet.

This is not an attempt to steal missions before the conspiracy theorists start

burning brain cells. Your missions can easily be stolen by flying on your server at any time its running.

So I hope no ones thoughts go there.

This is, as always, just a chance to do something a little different in the community

to fly a bunch and let the communities map making artists strut their stuff.

If there is interest please contact 159th_Machinegun (Larry) at the email listed below.

Missions will need all aircraft in FC2 and the KA 50 and have ample aircraft on both sides.

A-10 multipler missions are welcome but may only run at certain times as the majority of

the Lock On community is still waiting for the final release.

But it may be something 159th_Machinegun decides to run one evening.

Appreciate you thinking about getting involved. Slots are first come first serve.

You diverted to be before me, and still not out of the bed yet. Slackers. I'll tell Moby to grab a bucket of YPV to wake you up. ;)
