Ive got a GA 8vt 880p

Can i install 2x 2gb sticks??

Looked round net, some say no some yes!!thought id ask u tech guys!!

Oh 1 thing, i have a 2gb and a 1gb stick in, xp doesnt pick up the 1 gb stick

But speccy picks up all 3gb ?

That's GA-8VT880P motherboard? If so, sure, you can put 2x 2GB RAM sticks, the motherboard is dual channel DDR2 LGA775 socket and has 4 DIMMS which means you can put 4 RAM sticks... just one tip, don't mix different types and/or brands, always use same/paired RAM sticks otherwise you can have issues

So it can "see" all of my ram,is this correct?

PS: I didn't even know different versions of the OS have different RAM limits, by the way I have Windows 7 Home Premium and 12GB of RAM and OS sees all of it so guess this info on the web page is correct

Im devistated to find that my mobo limit is only 2gb

Have 2x2gb in but each is showing as 1 gb

You're aware of the fact that product in the link is a motherboard PLUS a new CPU?

 

And I'm not familiar with the prices over there but it seems terribly overpriced. I could get the both here for about 60-70€ each.

Im running a gtx260 on a p4 presott 630 at moment,

So its totally bottlenecked!!
