Liger Zero Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Unfortunately, that's just Photoshop.. Bummer Any change for sharing the SU-33 psd files?
104th_Crunch Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 (edited) Hi RF13. Really like the Kuznetsov textures. Thanks for sharing your work. Question, the A35 / A37 numbers on the aircraft texture. Is it possible to remove them as realistically they are not found on the Kuz? Thanks again Edited February 28, 2011 by Crunch
RF13 Posted March 4, 2011 Author Posted March 4, 2011 Liger Zero: I don't think so Crunch: ok, working on it 1 [sIGPIC]http://img852.imageshack.us/img852/6229/133z.png[/sIGPIC]
Presing Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 RF13 i try modes and like it. One question I have. How to change colors of numbers on the runway? Rocket brigade who retired F-117
RF13 Posted March 4, 2011 Author Posted March 4, 2011 As requested by Crunch, Kuznetsov textures, numerals removed: http://rf13a.blogspot.com/2011/01/6.html Presing, the file "nomera.tga" contains runways numerals. I made a realistic version in two colors, white and yellow. You can download it here: http://rf13a.blogspot.com/2011/01/5runwaynumerals.html [sIGPIC]http://img852.imageshack.us/img852/6229/133z.png[/sIGPIC]

john_X Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 stunning! you've created some very realistic skins and ground textures match very nice real european land. are you interested in detailing some f-16 skins for my mod? if yes, i'll send you my templates.ty
Mar Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 RF13, I noticed the Su-33 posing for the GRE2 and GRE4 skins had R-77s equipped. How was this accomplished? I am looking for a way to make the Su-33 my ultimate multirole fighter in single player. Having the ability to equip R-77s would be just perfect. Is there a mod you could direct me to? Would it be possible to do this by manually editing LUA files? By the way, I absolutely love your missile pack, they look incredible on my plane! Mar Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Oh drat, that appears to only work with FC1, I only have FC2. Thanks anyway! I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me whether or not this is possible in FC2 1.2.1. From the shadows of war's past a demon of the air rises from the grave. It is a little complicated to use, and I am having a hard time finding it with the forums earch function sorry.
Mar Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 (edited) I always have hard times with forum searches. I appreciate your effort in trying to find it for me, please let me know if you do. EDIT: I have discovered a way! I do not wish to hijack RF13's thread any further, so if anyone is interested just shoot me a PM. Do you have another or is your way manual. I am sure RF13 won't mind :)
Mar Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 (edited) Very well, Yes my way is manual. I looked in Scripts>Database>db_weapons.lua and found the codes that are used for all the weapons in mission files and rearm.lua located in Scripts>Aircraft>_Common. I was able to change the first rearm option from the ground crew to include four R-27ETs and four R-77s by replacing the LauncherCLSID code with the respective CLSID code found in db_weapons. However, I wasn't able to change the dialog list so I have to remember what weapons I set for which payload. There are two lines of code for each weapon in db_weapons.lua, or at least for the air to air weapons. I used the first line's CLSID. You can edit mission payloads this way by opening the .miz file with WinRAR and then opening 'mission' with Notepad++, searching for the desired aircraft in the mission, and placing the desired CLSID code for your weapon on the desired pylon. A very desirable skill for 'fantasy' mission makers like myself. :) Now that's how I discovered how to do it, but that tool could make things a lot easier. First however I have to know if it will add/remove or rename any files in the FC2 directory. Modman HATES it when I make any unauthorized changes in those regards. Edit: after testing that tool I have found that it can be used with my modman configuration. Unfortunately it looks like it can't add disabled weapons like I can in my above method. It can however rename the rearm options, so perhaps it will be useful to me after all. :) Thank you again. RICARDO Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 hello, great stuff from RF13:thumbup: thanks so much!!! a couple of questions : i use FC2 skins installed with modman7 they don't apear in game is there some files to rewrite, some slot to create for new skins like you had to do in FC1? for the runway and parking mod i used the big multifiles from lockonfiles, the one recomended for FC2. it was not clear at all about wich files you could use at the same time. i decided to use all the NAVY runways and parking. they are great but it seams that areas between runways still fixed with the winter season texture even if you are flying sumer. thanks for your help.
RF13 Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) RICARDO, Unfortunately, I don't have FC2 so I don't know about some issues. I found out that ED removed an important runway file and this will make my runway mod incomplete in FC2 (in fact, it will completely KILL the runway design... once WPP_DARK.BMP is the most important file of the runway design and now, in FC2, it's simply a TGA file responsible for skid marks). Check this topic here and images below: "it was not clear at all about wich files you could use at the same time" I made 13 versions, three different types: "A(ABCD)" = air force "N(ABCDE)" = navy "X(ABCD)" = thresholds correct position in all airfields (remembering that the above info has no effect in FC2, because of the removed WPP_DARK.BMP) Parking areas A (asphalt) and B (concrete) are commons (work for all airfields). Parking area Novorossiysk 1A, 1B and Saki are airfields specific. Designed for screenshots/videos purposes. - Thanks. 104th_Crunch Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Olá RF13. When I download the the Kuznetsov skin that has the numerals removed, I still see the numerals. Can you please double check and let me know? Obrigado.
RF13 Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 I just doublechecked and there's nothing wrong, file contains 2 Kuznetsov skins with numerals removed. Maybe you have not uninstalled the other skin (with numerals) from ModMan, or you have it in TempTextures folder. download [sIGPIC]http://img852.imageshack.us/img852/6229/133z.png[/sIGPIC]
104th_Crunch Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I'll check temptextures folder. Thanks again man:thumbup:
104th_Crunch Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 The file has no file extention. Is that right? It shows as A35_nn Maybe it should be A35_nn.cdds or something?
RF13 Posted April 28, 2011 Author Posted April 28, 2011 Then add ".cdds". I'll upload again, thanks. [sIGPIC]http://img852.imageshack.us/img852/6229/133z.png[/sIGPIC]
