VBK_Sniper_1-1 Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Hello Everyone, I was browsing the modding section, and I cant seem to find the tools or tutorials of any sort for exporting static objects into FC2 Ive got 3ds Max 8 but I have no clue where I can find the tools, and exactly what I need to do to successfully export my models from Max and import into FC2... Any Insight?
VBK_Sniper_1-1 Posted February 20, 2011 Author Posted February 20, 2011 Also, what Is a good polycount for a static building?
Ells228 Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Hey Sniper, The post is in the 3d modeling section but here is a direct link. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=18234 Not sure on poly count on buildings as you fly by them very quickly so don't need to be detailed in the model. My advice, keep it low and do a lot of the detailing in the skin for it.
Ells228 Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 No worries. Don't worry about modeling doors or windows, just skin those. If you look at most of the stock FC or DCS building models, they are pretty basic with good skins. 1
