Raven68 Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 I read a lot of positives on the TM Warthog so far. I'm finding it hard to justify the cost ($450-$500). Perhaps if I was single or married with a wife that was supportive of dropping that much coin on what she would call a toy, then I would go for it. It was hard enough to convince her to let me have my big toy (Ford Mustang), but she caved in. I will say she has not given me any flak about getting the Saitek X-65F, after I compared the price to the TM Warthog. Have any of you found fault with the X-65F through experience, word of mouth, reviews?? kingpinda Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 About the X-65F the only thing I can say, without even trying it i must confess.... is that its force-SENSING. For modern fighter jets no problem even very realistic. But for me who likes to chopper and WWII sims this saitek stick is a no-go. My stick needs to move. That is the only gripe I would have with that stick. Actually I fell in love with that stick untill I read about the forcesensing. Then came the logitech G940 shortly afterwards and I went with that.

Yeah...I heard about the technology, but now fully understanding that there is no real travel of the stick it makes me think twice about the purchase. I was under an impression that there could be some adjusting in the stick travel. EtherealN Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 TM WH does not have rudder peddals? and we're talking about A-10C replica HOTAS? come on... And it costs 500$. :megalol: Yes, replica HOTAS. Why are you surprised that there's no pedals? hawka Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 X65 I've had my x65 since they first came out and have never had any problems at all. you very soon adjust to the stick and just fly, it;s great and it is brilliant in black shark and with the ss software it's easy to try different setups. In my profile it is almost identicle to the wh ...Except I have all the F1 keys programed to hats in pinkie mode so you can use them as veiw, or when mic is on they will select from the drop down menu ie., F1 wingman or whatever F key you want. here's my profile if anyone want's it.A-10C.rar Win 10,MB GA-X79S-UP5 cpu i7-3820 water cooled,GPU 1080ti ,psu corsair HX1200i,,ram Dominator 32GB trackir 5,VKB Gunfighter stick , throttle ,saitek x65f & CH pedals
WynnTTr Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 My point is that 500$ for only HOTAS without pedals is way to much. For that money I can buy HOTAS + pedals + TrackIR 5 Pro. Yes, it's not shaped like real A-10C HOTAS but who cares. That's true. But like in every situation in life there's different brands of stuff. You could buy that LV bag but for the same price you could have bought 3 bags, 2 shoes and a suit at Walmart. And about the X-65, it has no play on the stick at all. I read somewhere that this unnerved real F-16 pilots so much that they made it have slight play now.
bird-1 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 (edited) Thrustmaster Warthog's joystick and Saitek X52 Pro's throttle is the best combination if you want to fly F15C or Su-27. For A10C,of course Warthog is the best.
