My TM warthog hotas throttle has a blown backlight LED. (See the attached image.) I've seen many times brand new products with blown bulbs but this is the first time I notice that an unused thing has a dead LED on it - it's very rare. There's voltage across it, I checked. How did this pass to get the QC stickers? Wow.

Am I the only unlucky one with such a rare failure? The retailer was talking about several months of waiting time if they replace the throttle... what about sending it directly to ThrustMaster, I guess I would have to pay for the shipping? How long time did you have to wait for the bricked throttles to be replaced? If I could find similar LED somewhere I could solder the new one in it myself but that might void warranty, which is a bad option if the thing decides to go belly up and brick itself some day like many of those have... Any suggestions?

TM should really be more careful when choosing their chinese manufacturers...

Sent mine to France (from southern Austria) on 2. 14., arrived in France on 2. 18., got a notice yesterday (2. 24.) that it is being shipped from France. I expect it to arrive until mid next week. After one mail with an inquiry they agreed to cover my shipping costs to france. Kudos to TM support. Went smoother than expected.

Mine arrived wednesday with the "ARM" LED not working. Really strange, I wonder where they get all these defective LEDs from.

Had a similar, relatively painless, experience with a bad TM MFD (led here too). They had me send them a photograph of the defective unit with the cable cut, after convincing them that it was hardware.

The new unit arrived from France, to the east coast US, in just a few days. No charge, no fuss.

Hello everyone. I have mine and I have not had any problems.

Several colleagues advised me that before anything upgrade the firmware of Thrustmaster HOTAS warthog. I have done as I recommended here in the forum and thanks to them everything works great.

You updated the firmware from the official website? perhaps the lack of light in the LED may be due to that.

In any case if it is not, send it back as it is under warranty.

Greetings and good flights.
