gizmo Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I finally got my first shot off with my maverick in the AGM 65 training section however when it came to firing the AGM 65H, i can only get 1 missile Off. The other just doesn't seem to lock the tank. Does anyone have the same problem or is there something im doing wrong. Does it auto lock the target or can i manually lock the target? Regards, Gizmo :( If you want Peace, be prepared to fight for it ! :pilotfly:
Speedbrake Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I just flew the Maverick training mission last night and had no problems locking onto targets. Sometimes you have to keep moving the slew around the target until the range it is in range. You can also ground stablize the slew que close or over the target and it should lock when in range. Ground stablize: with the Maverick MFD in SOI, move the slew over the target, TMS down (aft) should stablize.
Sn8ke Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 You may have to slow the slew speed. Asus Prime Gaming Wifi7 // Intel 14900K @5.5GHz // 64Gb DDR5 6000MHz // 3090 RTX // 4TB Samsung NVME M.2
irishbros Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 (edited) Im having the same problem it dont seem to be able to lock the targets im getting this error msg on right screen No Track Launch Ihbt Edited August 8, 2011 by irishbros spelling [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
EtherealN Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 That error message means you have no track - the missile hasn't got a target. Describe, step by step, the proceedure you follow and we might be able to spot something that is missing. irishbros Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Well i do exactly what the instructor says somthing he doent discribe is that the cross hair changes when im on the target to - 3 dash like that on top of each other so this is were its going wrong i think [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
EtherealN Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Please do this: Select Missions Select System Missions Doubleclick the ".." folder to back up one step Scroll down to Training, doubleclick it Select EN, then Combat Employment Select 6 Start the miz file in there - A-10C-Training-Maverick.miz Fly the mission, and when done or after encountering the problem, quit the mission. Now select "Save Track" on the debrief screen and name it something you'll remember. <-- very important Go to C:\Users\XXXX\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\Tracks, verify that the file is there. In this thread, select "Go Advanced" at the bottom, find the paperclip icon, and upload the track file. Then I can view it and see what the problem is. EtherealN Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Hm, the replay doesn't seem to run properly for me - on my screen the plane runs off the runway on takeoff and explodes. I ran a custom mission to show some Maverick fires, the track and mission are attached below. To note is the following: I set Mav seeker as SOI I slew to the tanks and ground-stabilise (TMS down) I zoom the seeker in (China Forward) I adjust seeker position to go over the target and attempt lock (TMS up) At first, I am too far away, the missile cannot obtain a lock. I switch missile type (showing the different seekers) and do the above again. When I get close enough for the seeker to lock, TMS up achieves the lock and I pickle the weapon. I then repeat the procedure a couple times to take out all the tanks. To run the mission, download it and place it in the Missions folder in: C:\Users\XXXX\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\Missions On the mission screen in-game, you can then change it to "My Missions" and you'll find it there. To view the track, save it to: C:\USers\XXXX\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\Tracks You'll then find it through the replay item in the game. Of important note is that the fact that YOU can see a target doesn't mean the seeker can achieve a lock. It is sometimes necessary to get closer so the seeker can get a solid contrast and picture of the intended target.t72-mav.trkt72-mav.miz [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester

EtherealN Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Did you change the folder in-game to that one? It should show by default, but if it doesn't, just browse to it on the replay screen. EtherealN Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 If you don't see it immediately upon selecting Replay, just select C: under drive, then select Users, Then your user name, then Saved Games, DCS Warthog, Tracks. The browsing there works exactly the same way as regular windows. EtherealN Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 There's some Maverick action going on in this old video of mine: (To really see what's going on I recommend 1080p) If it really doesn't show up in the replays folder, move it to wherever you lifted up your own replay.
