MasterZelgadis Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 In Falcon 4.0 :tomato: there was an option to switch to less sensitive controls for refueling. It was activated at the moment of fuel valve cover opening. I don't know if the real 16 has something like that. AFAIK it's a feature of the F-16 Flicht Control Computer. It provides a more smooth control while refueling or when gears are down for landing "Sieh nur, wie majestätisch du durch die Luft segelst. Wie ein Adler. Ein fetter Adler." http://www.space-view.net
Wichid Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 The F-16 responds to pressure on an almost non moving stick. The pressure sensitivity adjusts the pressure response. So I guess they have formation flying low sensitivity and dog fighting high sensitivity. I think the same thing is in the Saitek X-65 with preset sensitivities. I'm going to try these axis curves tonight as I can connect to the refueling tanker but the controls are either far too sensitive to keep contact or I'm doing it wrong. I use the X-52 and have the Thrustmaster Warthog on order. Hopefully getting the curves right will do it for me. I love this game. Wichid Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 BTW I settled on a curvature of 30. Can now link up and hold for refueling reasonably well whereas before I kept oscillating with small adjustments.
