hendo97 Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 Any one running a elo et1525l touchscreen on win 7 64 bit? If so what drivers are you running? Total Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 My suggestion would be to take a spare HDD and load it with XP or use an older computer with XP on it and see if it works with the older OS. If it doesn't, then the touchscreen interface or the USB interface for the touchscreen is bad.
emenance Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 (edited) i really like elo i have a e1545l and last time I looked they have win 7 drivers. If you call them like I did because i was confused about something with the drivers and got a very helpfull woman on the phone with a nice voice. try it. i am using one with win 7 32 bit for a jukebox. Im looking forward to using the second I got for helios or something on a new win 7 64 bit system someday. So I hope you get your answer. Are you using a usb to seriel cable too. Or are you using serial to serial? Thats what makes the touch part work. MackTheKnight Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 I was running an old 12" Elo via a USB to serial adapter and it worked okay in Win 7 X64. The drivers were a bit flakey on shut-downs and would sometimes bluescreen win 7, but they did work while running. I was using the latest drivers from here at the time: http://www.elotouch.com/Support/Downloads/dnld.asp They are listed as supporting Win 7. Hope you get it sorted out. -Mack

mickey01 Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Hendo, Any luck on getting this to work? Im having similar problem in a real sim.
emenance Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 (edited) I use a couple of these with one on win 7 64 bit. I have no problem. I have the 1545 seriel versions. Using a tripplite usb to seriel connection. Win 7 loads the driver for that no problem. The website has the universal driver at the top of that page. Some seriel adaptors can have poor drivers and cause problems. i see there are a bunch on ebay for cheap! This is what mine look like. He has 24 for sale. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ELO-touchscreen-computer-monitor-ET1547L-8SWC-1-15-/130665070648?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e6c3ec038 Edited March 19, 2012 by emenance Asus P8Z68-V GEN3/ 2500k 4.4ghz / Corsair 64gb SSD Cache / Corsair 8g 1600 ddr3 / 2 x 320gb RE3 Raid 0 /Corsair 950w/ Zotac 560TI AMP 1gb / Zalman GS1200 case /G940/
