rextar Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Ok this could be a reason why track ir is causing stutters When you activate it have a look at your task manager and see the program svhost.exe above. Ive noticed it uses between 30-40000 in its process aswell as the track ir which is another 29000 i belive Does this mean its using to much mem for one process. Mud Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 (edited) That doesn't seem excessive to me in terms of memory usage. In any case I doubt it would be the cause of stutters. The more common culprits for that would be CPU/GPU usage. Am I right to understand that you only suffer from stuttering when you use TrackIR? rextar Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 Yes it seems trackir is my problem when started it uses masses of virtual memory when svchost.exe opens sometimes 100000 k Intel i5 3.2 ghz 8 GB crucial ram gtx 660 superclocked 2gb 500watt corsair psu win7 64bit extreme pro track ir5 Turtle beach x12
Mud Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 svchost.exe is a windows process. You should actually have several of those running. I have one using 74000k and trackir5.exe*32 is using 45000k. So that value you are getting there really doesn't strike me as abnormal. Akela Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Tell me at what speed usb should work TrakIR5? My current rate for TrackIR5 usb 1.1 Windows writes the message "device can run faster" Is this normal? Or should we seek the reason why not work on usb 2.0?
