  1. Check out this video. If I remember correctly, using boost below 7k feet is rather pointless or even disadvantageous.
  2. I can confirm I had the same issue yesterday dropping my last GBU-12.
  3. Cheers for the info, Ramsay. However, in a test I just flew, I'm also not getting a "new guy" tone for an SA-2 and SA-3. Not seeing many others comment on the same issue here though, so I will try to wipe the F-15E installation files and have them re-downloaded. Br, Mud
  4. I'm a bit confused as well. I have a test mission with an E-3, and normally when I turn on the RWR I get a beep right away from it. Now there is only silence, while it shows up on the TEWS.
  5. I've done some more testing and I can confirm the following: - VR + MT causes DCS to stop responding / black 2D VR screen. - noVR + MT loads the mission fine. - VR + ST loads the mission fine as well. So I have a workaround in place for now
  6. Yeah, I understand that, Reflected. I just wanted to bring it up here also while I was troubleshooting to allow for some others to share their experiences with it, or provide solutions / workarounds. Anyway, I can from my side at least confirm that it's working fine in "single-threaded". So the lockup only happens with the combination of VR and MT.
  7. Same issue for me for another mission. Never had this before in any mission, but Speed and Angels is the first campaign I ever bought. Will try tonight in single-threaded as well to check if that works. Br, Mud
  8. When loading mission Speed and Angels - 02a_Departure into 3D, DCS hangs with a black screen in the VR mirror. No crash or error message. In the VR headset it just says something like "DCS waiting". Loading the same mission without VR works just fine. System specs in signature. Edit: Forgot to mention that I ran a slow repair. No issues found. Best regards, Mud dcs.log

    What is this?

    Some more info here also:
  10. Would a 4GB limit not cause issues with the Syria map (or others)? I had to increase my page file size to 32GB to prevent out of memory issues. And that is also with 32GB of RAM.
  11. You said you cannot find DCS listed in the Windows volume mixer, right? When DCS is started and you check in Windows > right click the sound icon in the icon tray > Open Volume Mixer I just tested myself and I do see DCS there. You might need to broaden that window (or use the slider at the bottom) a bit because it might not show all applications. Hopefully someone else with a G2 will chime in here.
  12. Multicore is started from the .exe: \DCS World\bin-mt\DCS.exe Whereas the older .exe is started from: \DCS World\bin\DCS.exe DCS World being the main installation folder. Might be named something else in your case.
  13. I don't have a G2 myself, but the 1st thing I can think of: Is your main audio output selected to the G2 in the DCS audio settings? Volume not turned all the way down in those settings? Br, Mud
  14. As a workaround, you can ask the ground crew to connect air and apply air to start your engines. Then I'm able to fire up my engines at least at Tonapah Nevada. Br, Mud
  15. For faster coordinates entry into items like the F-16's DED, A-10's CDU, ... I bind the numeric keys from the keyboard numpad to the respective numbers on the aircraft key pads. This speeds up things considerably for me when entering coordinates, even with a VR headset on. Less clicking required. Of course, it does help if you're used to using the numpad blindly.
