An hour with a laminator...

Hum, I printed the checklist and was practicing it just now (waiting until I get my HOTAS to actually start flying), and I did hit something of a snag:

 

I get to step 24 of the After Engine Start checklist, and EAC won't arm (the switch flips back to off).

 

I checked the flight manual, and from what I can tell I have all the proper systems on (SAS switches on, for example). Am I missing anything?

[Edit: Never mind, turns out I wasn't giving EGI time to align itself. For some reason I thought the moment the CDU allowed you to set it in NAV mode meant it was fully aligned. Obviously that was not the case. :)]

:) Wait till it reads T=4.0 0.8 and INS NAV RDY is flashing, than the system is fully alligned and you can use EAC/PAC/AP.. etc.

I was actually having someone print and bind my flight manual (turns out 335 pages is a number printers balk at, had to ask them to remove as many unnecessary pages as possible to get it to a manageable level while still being intact). I think I'll toss on the mission card and checklists as well :)

I had the flight printed in a 2 page per sheet format... duplexing as well, so in the end it only took something like 140 sheets total. Quite manageable when ringbound.

Just got back from vacation. Those that sent me a PM for the checklists and other stuff, I'll start working on it over the weekend. If anyone else wants anything printed and laminated (sorry, not doing the whole manual) let me know and I'll send a price quote. The more orders I get stateside, the cheaper shipping will be.
