Xxx Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Hi, I was inspired by the "Courier" mission, to do this "first attempt" video ( In clear weather.) I used Fraps and my old Video editor to make the final upload in WMV format. I am still experimenting. The AVI files are too large at 500Mb for 30 seconds! This whole film was 353 Mb for about 5 minutes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQSdcctry9c If anyone completes the Courier Mission, all I can say is well done and what a sense of achievement! ( You really can fly the Ka 50:) ) This is a superb sim. Landing at the deck is much, much, much easier with Track-IR - I for instance I rotate my moving direction at about 45° degrees to the left and use the Big Door-window to land only using visual aids. ;) Edited March 18, 2011 by PeterP
PishPosh Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 You know what would be awesome? If they didn't have that gigantic pole in the back blocking your landing. I remember seeing that and freaking out at first. PeterP has a good point, in that using that big door is really helpful in spotting tough landings. I usually just match the speed with the boat and then just come in sideways using that door to spot my landings. Nice work anyway.
Xxx Posted March 19, 2011 Author Posted March 19, 2011 (edited) Thanks guys. Ya know I had Track IR on. It didnt play in the track?? When I rebooted the sim, the track did show the Track Ir? By that time I had uploaded the film:cry: The flag pole needs to be eliminated! Also did anyone notice the wheels are below the deck surface, after landing, in close up! I avoided the close ups!:( Just graphical problems in an otherwise superb and unique sim. A10c is awaiting and then F18...perhaps:D:D:D Regards. Xxx Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 Speaking of Tir..I managed to do a film with it on this time! Also its a night shooter! Spot the mistakes with the cannon! Anyway it shows, hopefully, what a superb job DCS have done with the sim. No FLIR, TIS, NTS or TADS DVO, KOLS or any other night or LLTV....just plain old NVG, parachute flares and the contrast knob on the Skhval. Bliss! If you want a peek:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUHNKaQPp2I BTW thanks JuJu Man for the NVG mod, and Ricardo's Shark pit 1 and 2. Best Regards.
