doright
I've had the 64bit version up and running, but would like to use FreeTrack so I need to install the 32bit version. Do I need to: 1. Backup pilot and control profiles (how?) 2. De-activate 3. Uninstall 4. Re-install with 32bit setup checked. 5. Apply TrackIRFixer to 32bit version Or hopefully there is an easier way. EtherealN
If you did not install 32-bit originally, you will need to reinstall, afaik. There's no wrapper you can use? (Or just spend the money for a TrackIR kit and spend the hours of tweaking with playing... :P ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
fragged
No need to deactivate the game. You could probably copy the whole game folder, uninstall, install with 32bit and copy all the content back. I'm 99% sure it should work.
EtherealN
Ah, yes, good point and I overlooked that: indeed there is no need to deactivate. tmahring
I think all your settings / pilots are stored somewhere in the users folder and not the installation directory, so you shouldn't need to backup anything.

doright
Thanks all. The deed is accomplished. I did not have to re-activate on the reinstall. Thanks for that. I killed off my proto-pilot since he had more crashes then landings anyhow. That smacking into the mountain while head down entering 9 line data was a real wakeup call. doright
...(Or just spend the money for a TrackIR kit and spend the hours of tweaking with playing... :P ) I thought the tweaking was part of playing. I also don't deal with companies who's idea of competition is lawyer based instead of value and innovation use. That's also why I don't buy MonsterCable's overpriced stuff.
