pcalvert Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Hi, Just wanted some advice really. I have had TIR 5 now for about a year. Fantastic piece of kit! However I wanted to get some decent headphones because I am going to fit a BK gamer 2 to my pit. My problem is twofold. First I would like a good set of headphones for under £50/ $70 with a standard jack (NOT usb) I also need to be able to fit my TIR to it (so the headband can't be too thick). Does anyone have any ideas/ advice? Thanks :) Asus Rampage II Extreme, i7 920 @3.8Gh, 6Gb Corsair Dominator 1600hz, Msi GTX 470 Twin Frozr, Corsair 850w Mod PSU, TIR 5, HOTAS WH
wickedfastball Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I bought the Plantronics Gamecom. It's not the greatest in terms of sound quality but it's acceptable. And it was cheap. Less than $30. I've heard the SteelSeries Siberia V2 is good but more expensive (~$90 list price).
Quirkitized Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Just get a piece of velcro. You can then velcro it to the side of your headphones left ear speaker. Thats what I did, and it works amazingly well, and easy to take off when you dont want to use it/have it on. Doing this frees you up to nearly any headphones, I would suggest closed back ones though, because open-air headphones, you'd be blocking the air coming in/out by doing this.
