jiblet Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Hi, this feels like it's a really stupid question but I can't find concrete information on it in the manual or online, so here goes. Occasionally a small left-to-right arrow appears laterally across the TVV, but I have no idea what information it's trying to impart, or under what conditions it appears. I've a feeling it might be trying to tell me I'm in a crosswind, but I can't be 100% about that. Does anyone know what I mean and what it's for?
Zenra Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 The arrow indicates the Total Velocity Vector display has reached the limit of the HUD view. From page 361 of the (English) manual: The TVV indicates the aircraft inertial velocity vector. At the horizontal limit in the HUD, an arrowhead is displayed at the end of the horizontal line that points toward the computed TVV position. You would most often see this in windy conditions. jiblet Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 D'oh! Thank you, must have completely missed it in the manual :( That would explain my thoughts about crosswind anyway.
