dfabel01 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 I'm getting back into flight sims & very excited to see a FC2. I had the older Flaming Cliffs on my previous computer & flew w/ Saitek X52. The joy stick set up in the old game was easy and intuitive. However, I find the newer FC2 Controller setup in the options menu very confusing. Searching for advice. The game itself seems to work well on my box w/ 32 bit Win 7. Thanks, Dan
Spetz Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 I set up everything uing the SST software for the x52. I also erased all the joystick inputs (button presses) within the game except for the actual control axis that you want to use. You have to set up each aircraft individually now, but you can just ensure that the common buttons are mapped in the SST software and just use one generalized profile.
dfabel01 Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 I'm having trouble w/ the SST software. Most likely user error. I can't load any of the profiles i've downloaded from Saitek's site. I've tried to load them to edit them & I get "Failed to Open File" error. I have the latest Win 7 32 bit drivers and software for home box & win 7 64 bit divers and software for office computer. I can load the "SF Jack Bauer" profile I downloaded from this site. But, don't see any thing programmed after I load it. Just having trouble trying to learn the software. The "Help" from their profile editor is not detailed enough. Does anyone have a link to a thread or a youtube video that is a 'Dos for Dummies' type helper. Thanks, Dan
dfabel01 Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 found the advanced programming section on the SST help website. I hope this will answer most of my questions
