Hello folks,

one of the Finnish contingent from our community has some friends just got the Sim and have asked if I can give them some basic lessons to help get them started.

Now I don't profess to be anything but a bloke who likes flying, I am not a teacher and my accent may hinder the learning process(I am a geordie) but if anyone who is new to the game would like to come along then your more than welcome.

I will be limiting the group to seven because of hosting issues but if you want to come please sign up below and we can see what the uptake will be.

Teamspeak 3 is essential and the connection info is teamspeak.zeus-community.net:9987 just pop down the the IRT/CAS tent:thumbup:

The training will be structured as much as it is possible and hopefully after the first session you will be able to do a cold ramp start, radio comms with the tower/flight and at least one take off and landing.

If it proves successful and there is enough interest then it may be possible to go onto other systems etc.

Just one thing. I am not forming a squadron and I am not recruiting anyone I am merely offering the chance to join others online to go through the basics and hopefully give people the confidence to join a MP server.

This will be taking place Tuesday 5th April 19.30 GMT

Best wishes Cib:book:

The first session should be straight and level flight. Learn how to trim, adjust airspeed, do your nav turns etc.

The nth session (whenever flight is done) should be cold start and take-off.

Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D

I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

You right of course GG, but it was after the request from these Finnish dudes that I thought to open it up to forum users. Every day there are new posts from people wanting to find someone to fly with.

They specifically asked for start-up training first and I was happy to oblige, in hindsight can you imagine 7 people with a different fault at start-up :)
