Guild Wars - Ingame April Fool

Hey,

 

not a sim (well, maybe a sword-fighting and magic casting sim :D), but maybe we have some roleplayers here.

 

Wanted to share my video from the april fool event in the game, which was quite nice.

After announcing the Commando Soldier as a Guild Wars 2 Class (nice idea for an april fool), ArenaNet also added a Quest in Guild Wars 1, where a Commando Soldie with his Moahawk Helicopter landed in Embark Beach.

He was sent from the future to save Sarah, who is to be assassinated by an Annihilator Golem - also sent from the future - to prevent that she gets her child, Gwen.

 

Well...who knows that story? ;)

Meh, Guild Wars isn't an RPG. To be honest, in my own opinion even "staple" RPG's like ME and DA are only barely within the bounds. So called cRPG's have an unfortunate tendencies to become action games rather than role playing games. :(

 

But that's just the elitist Pen/Paper RPG player in me talking. :D

After having played DSA (Das Schwarze Auge / The Dark Eye), Dungeons and Dragons 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0, AD&D, Shadowrun, Traveller, Vampire and Serenity, I know what you mean. But as a PC Genre, it is an RPG ;)
