Ptroinks Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Oh! My! God! I installed the new drivers, plugged it in, updated the firmware and started DCS:A-10C. Set up everything in a hurry, and ended up just flying around in Georgia for 1,5 hours ! This thing is awesome! I only have one question about the speed brake switch (maybe this is the thing that's faulty on my Warthog...); When clicked to the forward position, it stays there when released, but when I click it back, it snaps back to the center position when released. Is it supposed to be like this, or is there something wrong with the switch? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RogueRunner Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 When clicked to the forward position, it stays there when released, but when I click it back, it snaps back to the center position when released. Is it supposed to be like this, or is there something wrong with the switch? By design, I think, mine does the same. With the price of ammunition these days do not expect a warning shot.
Ptroinks Posted April 5, 2011 Author Posted April 5, 2011 Phew! Can anyone else confirm this? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
WynnTTr Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 That's how it is in the Hog. It's so you can deploy your speed brakes how you want but not have to worry about keeping your finger on the the button to retract them. Just flick it forward and they'll fully retract. You'll find it's invaluable when coming out of a dive. You'll have plenty of other things to think about.
Ptroinks Posted April 5, 2011 Author Posted April 5, 2011 That's EXACTLY what I just thought about :)! So my HOTAS seems to be ok (for now!). Let's hope it lasts... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Ptroinks Posted April 5, 2011 Author Posted April 5, 2011 I'm not, so far, although it's only been six hours since I picked it up at the post office :). [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Succellus Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Damn i must learn to use the airbrakes when going in winchester. Right now i only use them for fancy landing. I suppose they must help a lot, because right now i get too fast at target, in so i m probably using more ammo than i should per target. MackTheKnight Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Just note that if you have them extended when you try to fire the GAU-8, PAC1 won't engage. Retract your air brakes before firing the GAU-8. This, I learned the hard way....
Succellus Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 OPs didn t knew that, thanks.
