Hi all,

I know the mission builder is very extensive but just for now all I want to create is a static target(s) for me to practice on. Does anyone know of a simple guide for this type of thing?

Many thanks

Open ME.

Flight:

On l/h side, click "Add Vehicle".

Select A-10C and "Player" under "Skill"

Click on the map where you want to place the flight.

In flight menu select "Fly over point" for where you have placed your flight.

Select "1 of 1" or "1 of 2" depending on whether or not you want a wingman.

In the loadout tab, select loadout (must be done individually for each flight member).

With the waypoint tab on "Add", add waypoints, adjusting all parameters such as altitude and airspeed.

Target:

On the l/h side, click "Add vehicle" or "Add static object"

Place it where you want it, adjust quantity as above, adjust facing direction, etc.

...That's about it, really.

Hi

it is fairly straight forward once you have the mission editor open.

on the left hand menu there is a plane icon. Click on this will bring up a grey box on the right.

This lists in a variety of boxes country default USA, Plane default A10-C etc. left-click once on the map will put the aircraft on.

You then get a waypoint menu on the right side. If you placed your aircraft on or near an airfield you can choose the option for starting on ramp, on runway or in the air.

Underneath the wayopoint menu you see add delete and edit buttons. click add and you can add waypoints for your flight. You can also name the waypoints but use CAPITALS and keep them short, 8 letters long IIRC. Also change the skill box of the pilot to player for single play or client for multi-player mission.

Right click on map closes that aircraft dialouge.

Go back to the left hand menu and click on the tank icon.

This gives you a ground unit menu. Change the country to russia or insurgents and select the vehicle unit you want to attack. click on or near one of your waypoints and place the unit on the map where you will find it in the mission.

For practise sessions the X shaped runway near the coast is good. Take off from Batumi and fly NW.

With the ground unit selected you will see a box 1 of 1. Here you can add more units of the same type. If you right click to then close the unit menu you can click on an individual vehicle in the group and change it. So in a group of ural trucks you can add a shilka or sam vehicle:)

Hope this helps:thumbup:

How do you designate a target (a tank) so that it appears in the HUD as such in the mission editor?

I assume you mean as a waypoint description. The waypoint that your tanks are you can name that in the editor. Check my earlier post. It must be made in Capital letters:)
