Did you know:

Russian 'Start the machine!' (an actual technical term!) sounds to us, Poles, like 'Throw up all over the machine!' :megalol:

How does the rep system work? I think I got 6 + reputation on my account now, but it only displays 2 under my avatar...

It doesn't display the number you have, cause some people would have 230,975 little green bars under their names. I don't know what the display scale is vs how many points you have.

I don't know the exact thing with the green boxes, but they're basically a graphical representation of your reputation. After X amount of reputation it changes to light boxes (and adds boxes a lot less often) until it reaches a maximum amount. The number, 2, is your reputation power. This is the amount by which you can change someone else's reputation. From memory the calculation is like this:

1 rep power for every 300 reputation you get.

1 rep power for every 500 posts you make.

If you go into your User CP (link at the top), you'll have the list of reputation events on your account. At the top right you'll also have your total reputation. In my case it's 49717 which divided by 300 becomes 165. I'm then brought up to 182 through my post count resulting in a rep power of 179, and finally there's a time modifier that adds the last 3.

All of that said, it's a pretty silly system, don't worry too much about it. :)
